Although whispers happen to be swirling that Roberto Luongo will ultimately be exchanged towards the Toronto Walnut Leafs, the goaltender still views themself part of the Dallas Stars.
Luongo may be worked towards the Leafs once the lockout finally finishes -- he'd have to waive his no-trade clause for you’re to occur -- but he wasn't thinking about unproven chatter about his potential new house.
"I'd rather not speculate on anything because you will find lots of whispers," Luongo told the Vancouver Sun. "Clearly, when it's time and that i do need to come to a decision we'll make one using the needs personally, they and all sorts of that type of stuff. But for the time being I believe my focus is simply on being prepared to play wherever that's."
Luongo, who continues to have ten years, left on the contract that counts $5.33 million yearly for the salary cap, want to be exchanged towards the Florida Panthers, when they have an off-season home. But he recommended he'd be prepared to maneuver with other teams too.
"At this era, I believe everyone knows what everything is beside me, but you will find many teams available that I'll consider without a doubt," he stated. "We are just likely to wait and find out. I am preparing as should I be returning for training camping when it is over and when things change we'll take proper care of that as it pertains.”
