Public Safety Minister Vic Toews is ordering the RCMP commissioner to rapidly draft an plan of action which will address the continuing problem of gender prejudice within the pressure.
Inside a dramatically phrased letter shipped Thursday to RCMP Commissioner Bob Paulson -- and received by various media shops -- Toews expresses frustration within the RCMP’s apparent failure to deal with the problem.
Toews indicates he’s inflammed he has not received an plan of action from Paulson around the matter.

One of the issues Toews really wants to see addressed within the plan are:
- Recruitment goals for women
- A particular technique to, within the immediate term, achieve a pressure by which 30 percent of Mounties are female
- Cutbacks in timelines to deal with complaints
- Cutbacks in quantity of complaints
- Promotion targets for female people
- Targets for recruitment of women towards the officer cadre
